I prefer flameless candles to flame candles for safety. I can walk away without worry. The combination of the smokey glass, graduated heights of the pillars, and flickering light, makes this a perfect display on my coffee table, on a silver tray with scattered holiday potpourri. I was confused by the details on the site. Each candle takes 2 - C batteries, and once I positioned the ON button in the right place, the remote works to turn them on and off without lifting up the candles to do so manually. Glad I added these pillar candles to my holiday decorating.
These candles are beautiful and perfect for our decor. The flame is more realistic than most flameless candles. They are a bit expensive but I feel that they are worth it. I also appreciate that they are Darby Creek is in my home state.
